I would suggest picking up a copy of Introduction to Audiology by
Frederick N. Martin. His text is written with plenty of detail, but
without the technical aspects found in many books for advanced readers.
This book is generally used for undergraduate audiology, speech language
pathology, and deaf education majors as their first course in audiology.
