I would contact the ethics committee/chair of ASHA and AAA. She is not
your patient according to your words. You do not have an agreed on
contract with her to assess her hearing ability and report to anyone.
I'm unsure of your experience but a saucer shaped audiogram with good
thresholds at 125 and 8000 or higher can often give speech thresholds that
do not match any kind of traditional pure tone average. These people
often have progressive hearing loss, are able to perform with minimal
cluese, have recruitment which allows good word recognition ar 40 and 50
dB and fool lots of audiologists on testing. I'd consider it. A pure
tone Stenger might be of help.
I certainly would not report her to anyone at this point without her
permission because you don't have a contractual relationship with her, at
least I don't think you have.
