I am attempting to do it currently. I have been turned down by two banks
(so far) and went to five more today. I must live in a less saturated
area than most of you (I don't think I'll tell you where it is, either!)
because I have several people who have said that would like to come in
here and start working.

My problem is that I too just graduated. I have a negative net worth by
(you guessed it) my student loan amount. So I have been trying different
avenues. 1) Partnerships. I have a group who will contribute about
30-40%. 2) The state has a program for lending to start-up businesses
that are having difficulty getting conventional financing. And last, but
not least, is a tie between selling my 3 1/2 kids or robbing a bank.

I have tried to lease my equipment (the bulk of the loan) but have been
told, "we don't do venture capital," or, "why don't you call us after
ytou've been up and running for six months." RIGHT!

O.K. I'll stop whimpering. I am open to new ideas (that's a major
hint).
