I would appreciate a recommendation for a San Fernando Valley or, secondarily,
Los Angeles-based hearing loss institute which can determine the (CAUSES)
of a hearing loss and to see if those hearing losses can be corrected by a
means other than hearing aids.
A friend has been diagnosed by an M.D. and audiologist (Ph.D) and has been
evaluated with a hearing loss. They did not take steps to determine the
cause(s) of this hearing loss (is this a typical experience?!?). And, they
did not offer any suggestions for correction of this loss other than hearing
aids. She would like to find out about alternative methods of correcting of
her hearing loss.
So, if you are aware of a clinic, institute, hospital, private practice, etc.,
in the San Fernando Valley (or Los Angeles area), would you please let me know
about any such facilities.
