What would YOU do?

Here's one:

15 month old female with history of prematurity (gestational
age at birth 26 weeks), low birthweight (950 grams), intraventricular
hemorrhage (IVH) requiring shunt, 14 day course of Amp & Gent;
developmental function at 8 month-old level. On evaluation
tympanograms are normal; ABR absent bilaterally at 95dB
(via insert transducers); in soundfield no startle, responses to
warbled tones range 80-90dB from 500Hz-4kHz; AND....TEOAEs
present bilaterally at 12-22dB over entire frequency range!!!

In the old days (before OAE) we would have hung hearing aids on
this child ASAP.  What would you do now if this were YOUR patient??
