SPAM in the Newsgroup

I'm only an occasional visitor here, so I don't feel qualified to comment
on the needs of bionet.audiology specifically, but as an issue which is
important to all newgroups, I like David's idea above. Certainly I think
it is appropriate to the larger general public interest groups at any
rate, where easy access is important.  Once one 'spammer' has been
demolished in this way, and the ins and outs of the process are better
undestood, it should become easier to  address the rest of them. And then
perhaps we could send a unique 'positive spam posting' explaining to other
newsgroups how to eradicate this nuisance from the net.

Some of the latest spams are quite appalling, and I agree, it is about
time for action. 

 If anyone could give me an idea how to go about the procedure described
above, I'd like to contribute to the effort.

A thing that puzzles me; somebody somewhere must still be buying that
"Earn $5000 in two weeks" line. I wonder who it is!!
