With a heart that is wracked with grief I report that Susan Moreland died
on Monday night.
Her ideas and mannerisms and the patience that she displayed was hiding
the real Susan, whose physical limitations were 100 yards of walking at
most, 15 minutes on the phone at best, a few hours of audiology (God bless
the babies now) before going home and collapsing until tomorrow. She was
an inspiration to all who knew her
struggle. She hated lupus and what it did to her - she used to be
'skinny' (her words)
and her love of training unbroken horses and showing them was huge; her
love of the outdoors was most evident as she expertly guided our canoe
across Lake Hope in the Hocking Hills last Saturday and she talked of
teaching kids canoe skills when she was a teenager at camp. She loved
music & played piano, guitar, etc..
Susan's tinnitus was mild but her lupus was not. She had been near death
a couple of
times during the past few years. She was passionate about helping T
sufferers and wasone of the 2 founders of the bionet.audiology newsgroup.
I loved her & she loved me and her respect for you folks was automatic.
She will truely be missed.
She was a glorious person.
She leaves her mom
