Please ignore if post is inappropriate, but is anyone familiar with this?
I acquired diplacusys binauralis and diplacusys monauralis about three
years ago and only discovered the terminology by doing my own research.
This was after seeing two UK specialists, one of whom didn't have a *clue*
what I was talking about, the other who accepted what I was saying, but
couldn't define it or offer any constructive advice - I wasn't offered
anything other than a standard hearing test.
Anyway, I have it, it's allegedly very rare, so if anyone would like to ask
questions/discuss it, feel free to email/post. I have no audiological
qualifications (unless Biology "A" level counts) but have been a guitar
player for a long time, understand music theory, know what a 3db change
means, what note 440hz is etc and have always been able to play songs "by
ear" so can describe the nuances of the condition quite objectively.
