Subject: Dispensing audiologist in Brooklyn, NY
Hi everyone -
I saw a 93 yr old woman today who was visiting from Brooklyn, NY. She has a
canal hearing aid that she purchased a year or so ago from a
"Costco"(?)discount store in NY for $450. She has not been wearing it
because she has some difficulty inserting it, hears an "echo", can't turn it
up past 1/4 volume without feedback, etc, etc. It's a conventional aid with
no pots. She has not been back to the original dispenser because it's too
far from her home. She's going back to Brooklyn tomorrow.
Does anyone know of a good dispensing audiologist (with a lot of patience)
in the Brooklyn area (zip code 11204, Benzenhurst(sp)Flatbush section)? She
may be interested in a new hearing aid for the other ear.
Thanks in advance for your recommendations!
