Micromini devices, implants

This is a general research question. I'd appreciate any leads. How small can
an rf receiver (need only be one channel) be mad?. Are there internal
anatomical structures (e.g. cochlea) that would facilitate reception much the
way fillings do in teeth and might theoretically permit a super small implant
to be heard by a person with ordinary hearing?
