John,
I saw a very good book on digital hearing aids, new about 2 years ago,
Check www.amazon.com or lib-congress or medline, then get it as
inter-library loan through your local lib in Atlanta, or Oxford books.
Also search on www.metacrawler.com for: "hearing aids digital new" .
"hearing aids digital research", and "hearing aids digital reviews"
You can also call Dr Bray in Paoli,PA for info or sources.
Also check: http://www.earhelp.com/first.html They handle:

Notepage | The Hearing Office | | Phonak | Micro Tech | Miracle-Ear
