hello,
I'm an SLP student doing my Master's project on early detection of
hearing loss in children.. I'm wondering if there exists a
critical/threshold number of OM episodes that a child can have where
they are declared as having some kind of official hearing loss?? I
realize that OM is a fluctuating condition, and that the existence of a
HL can vary with the episodes.. but is there some "official number" that
indicates that there is some kind of permanent loss??
any input on this would be greatly appreciated..
