POSITION OPENING
Position available immediately for audiologist in a pediatric medical
center providing comprehensive evaluation, education, training and
support for children with auditory deficits and their parents and
families. Responsibilities include: routine behavioral and
electrophysiological screening and diagnostic workups, hearing aid
fitting and monitoring (conventional, programmable and digital),
commitment to auditory/aural intervention strategies, collaboration with
UUMC cochlear implant team, OR monitoring (all modalities), community
education and resident training.
Primary Children's Medical Center serves a pediatric population drawn
>From the Great Basin area as well as international locations. We are
the primary pediatric training facility for the University of Utah
Medical Center and maintain close ties with the UU School of Medicine.
We are located on the campus of the University of Utah overlooking the
Salt Lake Valley. SLC is the venue for the 2002 Winter Olympics. We
are within 20-30 minutes of some of the greatest ski areas in the world.
Our climate is relatively mild despite our close proximity to the
mountains.
