Hi:Cortical Deafness is due to abnormality [disease, injury, etc.] in the the auditory cortex of the brain and is usually bilateral. Is this often accompanied by the bilateral perception of a high-pitched sine-wave tone* (i.e. a type of tinnitus)? This perceived sine-wave tone on the edge of being ultrasonic -- much like the "whine" of a CRT screen.Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks,Internal Error (believe it or not, this is my name!)
