I represent a group of polish and german researchers that participate
in a project, called Open Screening Environment. The main project idea
is to combine various modules to support high-throughput research in
Modules will perform specific but independent tasks from different
fields such as bioinformatics, data mining, structural genomics, image
analysis, visualization, phenotyping and genotyping. By communicating
with each other, the complementary applications will simplify a
tracking of a complete screening process.
Currently, we are seeking partners (research institutions, companies)
interested in testing OSE functionality in own experiments or/and
providing to OSE own modules and algorithms
There are 3 modules already working that perform data mining (KNIME:
image analysis (BioImage that will be published soon) and analysis of
object movement in 3D (TracePilot: www.biotec.tu-dresden.de/brand/tracepilot/).
Another ones are being developed (3D cell segmentation and tracking).
The software wase developed at/for Max Planck Institute of Cell
Biology and Genetics, BIOTEC Institute at Dresden University of
Technology and Konstanz University.
