While the transition of PDB in US has been taking place, the European
project
for the management and distribution of data on macromolecular
structures continues at EBI in close collaboration with US PDB
maintainers.
The EBI Macromolecular Structure Database project
<http://msd.ebi.ac.uk/>:
- accepts depositions
<http://msd.ebi.ac.uk/Deposition/deposition.html>
- cleans PDB entries
<http://msd.ebi.ac.uk/Development/Clean-up/clean-up.html>
- lists probable quaternary structures
<http://msd.ebi.ac.uk/Services/Quaternary/quaternary.html>
- annotates differences between PDB and SWISS-PROT sequences
<http://msd.ebi.ac.uk/Services/Sequence/sequence.html>
- validates structures <http://biotech.ebi.ac.uk:8400>
- will make available a state of art database of 3D structures...
