Meiosis in cells with Trisomy

I was wondering if anyone can tell me what occurs when a cell with trisomy
undergoes meiosis. Does the extra chromosome prevent this entirely when it
cannot form a tetrad in meiosis I, or does it split as in mitosis with only
a single chromatid going to the daughter cells? Specifically, this is in
reference to the production of gametes in humans with Down's syndrome
(trosomy 21).

Thank you in advance...

Colin
