Does anyone have any suggestions of how to remove and enumerate biofilms
from sand grains? The sand is from a slow sand filter which has been
running for 7 months and has been fed with treated water. The filters have
been dosed periodically with Bacillus spores and Chlorella. We have tried
DTT and a couple of enzymes with no sucess.
