ultrasonication energy

Dear colleagues,
I need a little help in describing an ultrasonicator that we are using to
break up biofilms in order to isolate the individual organisms within.  I
have submitted a manuscript in which we describe the ultrasonicator as
follows:

....Microbial suspensions were ultrasonicated for different times and
intensities with a Vibracell-72405 100 Watt ultrasonicator (Bioblock
Scientific, F-67403 Illkirch, France; diameter of ultrasonication tip, 6 mm
; maximum volume that can be sonicated, 25µl).  All sonications were
conducted with pulsations (1 sec off / 2 sec on).  ...

The reviewer's comment was: "Sonicators are different the world over.  If
you want others to have a reasonable chance of floolwing your proceedure and
confirming your results, you need to do a better job of describing the
actual energy output of the probe under your working conditions."

In the papers we have looked at where ultrasonicators are used to break up
biofilms, not much more (and sometimes even less) information is given about
sonicator energy.  Can anyone suggest some articles I can look at to get a
better idea about how to describe our sonicator's energy output, or, in
general, how this should be described.
