Adhesion of bacteria??

Thank you for your respond,
Are you telling me that there is no such thing as adhesion? All you need
is a filter with small enough pores?
In that case how small must the filter poresize be in order to keep
micro-organisms, like bacteria and viruses, from passing through?
And also, can you affect the stickiness (adhesion?) of the filter?
Meaning, can you use a filter with bigger pores and a specific
chemical/biological treatment, and make it work as well as a filter with
smaller pores?
Sincerely, Mr Bergstrom.
