I have a website
http://www.cf.ac.uk/biosi/staff/kreft
a large part of which is concerned with the modelling of biofilms.
It is possible to run my individual-based biofilm model within a browser,
so students could play with it (changing parameters). (The list of
parameters people can change while running the program in a browser has
been cut down to a minimum in order to avoid confusion, but this list
could be changed by popular demand. Also, the source code can be
downloaded, and then you change every parameter you like.)
There is a slight chance this might be interesting.
