A timely reminder as the closing date for abstracts is fast approaching:
The International Water Association are organising a Biofilm Monitoring
symposium in Porto, 18-20 March 2002. Extended abstracts (4 pages)can be
submitted until 15th November 2001.
There are a host of internationally recognised speakers invited, see the web

Several non-Europeans have asked where is Porto: Porto is a beautiful
historic city in Northern Portugal and there are frequent flights to Lisbon,
London or Paris. It is the home of Port wine and well worth a visit up the
Duoro river to the vineyards.
