May be I am asking a very simple and naive question, but I have a
doubt regarding the terms we use for checking antibiotic sensitivity
of biofilms. For checking antibiotic sensitivity of planktonic cells,
we use the terms MIC (minimum inhibitory concentration) and MBC
(minimum bactericidal concentration). Can we apply the same terms for
biofilms also? Or do we use the terms MBPC (minimum biofilm preventive
concentration) and MBEC (minimum biofilm eradication concentration) as
markers for antibiotic sensitivity of biofilms?
