We're interested in measuring respiration (of mitochondrial and cell
suspensions) at steady state oxygen concentrations. i.e. an apparatus that
uses a micro-injection pump to replenish O2 as it is used, and keep [O2]
constant. The rate of injection is monitored by a computer and from that,
the rate of O2 consumption can be inferred.
I know of one such commercially available system, the oxygraph thing from
Oroboros, but it's $12,000 retail. Does anyone else make a similar system
that does the same for less $$$ ?
Thanks
