polyclonal antibodies

I would like to survey the worm community as to the best source
of polyclonal antibodies. I am in the midst of making sel-1
fusion protein in E. coli and would like to send it off to have
polyclonal antiserum made. Since we do not have our own facilities
at Columbia for this kind of thing, so I am at the mercy of
commercial sources, e.g. Pocono Rabbitt Farms etc.. I would like
to know which companies have produced antibodies against worm
proteins which work well on westerns as well as whole mount animals
without high background. I've heard that previous nematode infections
in rabbitts causes background problems. Some people have mentioned
that Rats produce cleaner antisera - but you don't get much. I would
appreciate the benefit of your experiences on this topic. I'll
put together a summary of comments and post it for general
consumption. Thanks in advance.
