I apologize to all if this seems to be more clutter, but the person who
sent out the pornography solicitation appears to have been a victim rather
then the perpetrator.
This message came back to all those who returned his mail to him.
I don't think a moderator is a bad idea. Perhaps it could rotate
around the list with people serving 3 month shifts. The volume
on this list is usually <5 messages per day. I would be willing to take
a shift, assuming that my system will allow me to do it.
Happy holidays to all,
Glenn
P.S. I didn't flame the guy, I just asked him not to send me any further
information of this kind.

Subject: Mail Difficulties
Due to an overload of messages entering my mailbox, I cannot reply
personally to each one. If your message was sent in regard to the
"Porno for Americans" spam or the "FREE SEX PICTURES" spam, please note the
following:
Please *read* the headers on the spam. While it includes *my* email
address, it did not come from my site. It is, in fact, a forgery.
I DID NOT SEND ANY OF THOSE MESSAGES. DO NOT ASK ME FOR LISTS OF
PORNOGRAPHY OR THREATEN ME IN ANY WAY.
While looking at the headers, please note A) the discrepancy between the
posting site and the Path: header, B) the X-Newsreader is a Free Agent
entry. I use a Macintosh, with YA-Newswatcher.
If you wish confirmation that I didn't do it, please email the sysadmin
at the site it came from: postmaster at goodnet.com for the "Porno for
Americans" or postmaster at megaweb.com for the "FREE SEX PICTURES."
If you're interested in helping make Usenet "spam-free", subscribe to
news.admin.net-abuse.announce, and check there to see if spams have been
reported before taking further action.
If you received this in response to a flame you sent to me, and you feel
the need to apologize, PLEASE don't send me more mail. I've got enough
incoming mail right now. Instead, go back to wherever you saw the post,
and let everyone else know that I didn't do it, and to send their
complaints to postmaster at goodnet.com and postmaster at megaweb.com.
If you received this in response to a "request list" message, seek
psychiatric help, and read Rozefsky's book on fraud.
You're *way* too gullible to be allowed to reproduce.
Thanks.
If you're NOT writing about the spam, I'll be answering your message shortly.
