As you may have seen at the last Worm Meeting, we are
working on a hand-held electroporation device called
The Cloning Gun. The version for E. coli and yeast works
great, but I'm trying to make a version for simplified
C. elegans transformation. So far we have gotten some
transformants, but not efficiently enough to replace
microinjection yet.
HOWEVER, I can tell you that it permeablizes eggs
(and whole worms) GREAT. (If you don't mind them
being mostly dead). If you want more info, e-mail
