I have had a lot of success growing OP50 in liquid NG media overnight at
22 to 26C at 150 rpm. The next day inoculating with C. elegans. I grew
100 mL cultures and got a lot of worms in 5 days (>1000/mL). If you are
interested in large scale, Bio/Techniques had an article about growing
100 L cultures in the Jan issue of 1994 (or sometime around then).
