I have generated a series of pha-1 rescued transgenics, using
the vector pBX
(Granato, Schnabel, Schnabel N.A.R. 1994 vol.22, p1762-63).
I am in the process now of testing the NUMEROUS lines I have
generated for expression of my transgene(s), so I can't give
hard numbers on how well my constructs co-transformed with pBX.
[Editorial: pha-1 works!]
Has anyone experience integrating pha-1 lines, or other lethal
markers for that matter? Since ts pha-1 animals can pick up
sup-35 spontaneously ( I can certainly attest to that!), is there
an easy way to tell the difference between the rescued integrated
lines, vs. the suppressed lines?
I will eventually need to pass the transgenes into various genotypes,
and it would make life easier for me if the constructs were integrated.
