Dear Worm Breeders,
The unc-119::GFP plasmid I gave some people at the meeting (DP#MM045) is a
3.6 kbp Hind III - Pst I fragment ligated into the same sites in TU-62. A
diagram of the promoter and coding region used can be found in WBG 13#5 p.
41. (In the article I erred in assuming that TU-62, and hence DP#MM045,
has an NLS; of course it does not.) Staining with this construct can be
seen at about 300 cells and onward in the nervous system. Anyone else who
is interested can contact me.
The distribution of these plasmids is, of course, subject to the same rules
and regulations that were given with the vector set distributed by Andy
Fire at the meeting.
The expression vector I showed on my poster is being made and I will post
info here.
