I am sorry but I have sent two messages to this net. Not only did I
not get a reply,,,,I did not even receive it myself (my message).
Maybe someone can tell me what happened.
However, today I got a celegans message. So will try again.
I have a couple students working with me learning the worm (as I am).
I started them off making stained whole mounts using the technique I
use with chick whole mounts, that is, borax-carmine as the stain. We
did use Carnoy's fixative. The slides did not turn out that bad but
I am sure they could be better. Does anyone out there have a
technique that they like?
I also want the students to see if they can isolate developing
embryos and stain and mount them also. I could use those in
embryology in the spring. Fir the first time, my students there are
going to get worms in the lab.
Thanks all.
