I posted a few days ago regarding the availability of MACace.4-13.
Richard Feichtinger solved the problem and has made a version available
at his FTP site. I have successfully downloaded and installed this
archive, so if you need it, go get it _NOW_ for reasons shown in the quotes
below extracted from email correspondence between myself and Richard.
Downloading from Martinsried to Toronto took less than 4 hours in the
early evening (6-10 pm EST). Extraction took about 15 mins or less.
The program is working perfectly.
The 5 items giving errors are in, just the tags elements of those items
that are missing in the installed form. The problematic items in their
entirety are in the rawdata:terminator.ace file referred to.
I would like to thank Richard publicly for responding so helpfully.

Maybe you should still post in the newsgroup the availability of the
update at ncbi for some people interested might not be on franks
mailing list. I still can't post myself. I will go on skiing holidays
in an hour and won't be here next week to take care of my ftp site,

I read in the update file distributed for the UNIX version with five
errors. The items are included in a separate file in
rawdata:terminator.ace. The tags "terminator" and "LTR" of these five items
are missing in this database, if anybody minds.
Use a Macintosh ftp program (like "Fetch" or "Anarchie") and
open alf.biochem.mpg.de (141.61.17.2)
login anonymous

go to share/Schnabel
get macace.4-13.sea.bin
The file is 79MB large and self-extracts on double click to 253 MB.
