imipramine and egg laying

Dear Worm Folks,

I am having trouble using imipramine to stimulate egg laying even in N2
controls (I'm trying to test unc-119 mutants). I have made a 0.75 mg/mL
solution in M9 of imipramine hydrochloride (Sigma I-7379) and even after
one hour in the solution there is no evidence of egg laying although the
animals survive the treatment quite readily. Treatment with serotonin (10
mg/mL) works fine, so what could be going on here?
