Dear fellow worm breeders,
[I know there's not that many people out there doing worm EM, so if you are
aware of someone who can contribute who may not subscribe to
bionet.celegans, please pass this message along -- thanks.]
I made worm blocks in Epon resin but had trouble getting good embedding
throughout the worm, as betrayed by 'holes' in the center of transgenic
sections 50-100 nm thick.
I have heard of a newer low-viscosity resin called LR White, which does not
require Osmium Tetroxide and is also suitable for immuno-EM.
Does anyone else have experience with this resin, or have advice on
achieving good embedding with standard Epon resin?
Thanks in advance,
Morris
