I'm thinking of making some changes to the way WBG abstracts are
submitted. The most important would be to eliminate traditional
e-mail submission. Apparently the instructions for e-mail submission
are difficult to follow: most of the abstracts that come in by this
route are incorrectly formatted. They have to be fixed by hand, with
the possibility of introducing new errors or misinterpreting the
author's intent.
The current e-mail submission system would be replaced with a
single-step WWW form. You would fill in the form, then click the
submit button, and the information would be e-mailed to the server.
(For the technically savvy, the form would use a mailto: URL.) You
would get an acknowledgement by e-mail.
Please let me know if this change would cause you hardship.
