Has anyone looked for an iodine/iodide requirement in C. elegans? Or an
effect of added iodine/iodide on axenic cultures? The defined media that
I have seen contain no added iodine, but small amounts as impurities are
possible.For an organism that has 270 nuclear hormone receptors, one
might imagine the possibility that it uses and makes an iodinated
