Periodically, people ask what the genotype of OP50 is, but this is
apparently lost in the mists of time....
I have a less general question. Does anyone know whether in OP50 a
plasmid-encoded gene under the control of the lac promoter would be
expressed constitutively; i.e. does OP50 have the lacIQ gene or not?
Thanks in advance
