Genome Resources Workshop -- clarification

My previous message about the Genome Resources workshop was too vague.
This announcement, which can also be found on the meeting web site, should
clarify it:

On February 16 and 17 a workshop on non-mammalian model organisms took
place at the National Institutes of Health, with the purpose of identifying
the genomic resources whose development would be most useful to the model
organism communities themselves and to other biologists. The C elegans
community was represented by a random assortment of disreputable
characters, who eventually produced a document describing our (and
theoretically your) desires. This was posted on the bionet.celegans
newsgroup (<http://www.bio.net/hypermail/CELEGANS/9903/0008.html>). This
was only a first pass. It is likely that the dialog with NIH will
continue. To give them the best advice, discussions must continue within
the worm community as well. Anyone interested in genome resource
development is invited to attend this workshop and shove in his/her oar.
