Department of Biological Sciences. Currently, we are seeking to recruit
four open rank tenure-track faculty members to join the existing
cell/molecular biology faculty. Candidates should have a research focus in
the area of eukaryotic signal transduction to complement existing strengths
in cell adhesion, transcription regulation, cancer biology, nematode
molecular biology and biochemistry, and plant molecular biology.
Facilities include a new $33 million research complex with state-of the-art
laboratories and an outstanding instrumentation center. Joint appointments
with the Departments of Medicinal and Biological Chemistry and Chemistry
will be encouraged. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and postdoctoral
experience. Successful candidates will have, or will be expected to
develop, an externally funded research program and will participate in
undergraduate and graduate instruction. The Department offers B.S., M.S.,
