I am having a fairly simple problem in that my nematode growth agar is
cracking. I want to keep my C. elegans on the surface of the agar and
recently they have been burrowing into the agar. I am using 3.5 cm plates
to culture my worms on. Any suggestions to help me prevent cracking? I
have already tried using high and low humidity conditions. I also do not
think it has to do with the percent agar in the media because that has been
constant, even before the cracking.
