An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available immediately to study cell
cycle regulation in C. elegans. Our laboratory is focusing on a class of
ubiquitin-ligases, Cullin-RING finger complexes, that regulate cell cycle
progression. Cullin-RING finger complexes are required in C. elegans for
cell cycle exit, G1 phase progression, chromatin condensation, meiosis, and
limiting DNA replication to once per cell cycle. We are interested in
identifying the substrates and molecular pathways regulated by individual
Cullin-RING finger complexes. We use genetic, molecular, cell biological,
and proteomic approaches to illuminate these largely unexplored areas of
cell cycle research. A number of interesting projects are available, as
well as latitude in pursuing other projects. Potential candidates are
