Dear Colleagues;
We have received most of the LMB/MRC files (TEM prints and negatives)
from John White and Jonathan Hodgkin. However, some of the boxes are
either missing or we found them to be empty. These may have been
borrowed at some time in the past-since it has been such a long time, we
couldn't track them back to who may still have them . These include
prints for JSE tail #1-309 and low mag JSE. If you are in possession of
any of John White's original prints, we would very much like to obtain
them (at least for some time until we finish scanning them into digital
format) This is especially urgent for the tail sections since we have
started the construction from the tail.
Similarly, we are interested in acquiring or borrowing other anatomical
artwork, illustrations (no matter how big they are, also please don't be
too critical of your drawings etc, anything may be useful), and classic
sets of EM negatives or prints from other C. elegans lab.s (if you know
where to find old EM datasets which are no longer being utilized, we
would like to give them a second chance for life) If you can't bear to
part with these data, we would like to acquire digital scans of these
images.
