My PhD thesis on the development and organisation of the worm nervous system
contains some material, particularly on early neural outgrowth in the ventral
cord, that I never published, but which other people have found useful. I have
therefore over the years sent out photocopies to quite a few groups. It is now
available in PDF format from

Morgan, who retyped in the text and organised scanning of the figures. I hope
this is useful, and we can now stop sending out photocopies. Finally, please
