It seems that you face what I have been facing before. In general
there is a technique which is concerned with making a knockout in C.
elegans on the site:

unde rthe title (C. elegans gene knouckouts protocols). You might try
with it, and tell me the results specially if it doesn't work, as I made
some fining to the method. I wish you a good luck.
