UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD
GENETICS UNIT
DEPARTMENT OF BIOCHEMISTRY

A position is available from January 1st 2002 for a postdoctoral
scientist to study developmental genetics in C. elegans in the
laboratory of Dr. Alison Woollard. Using a broad range of state-of
-the-art molecular genetic techniques, including post-genomic
approaches, we are seeking to understand how cell fate is determined
during development using C. elegans as a model system. We are
particularly interested in the roles of the T-box family of
transcription factors in development (see Genes Dev. 14: 596-603,
2000). Motivated scientists with a strong background in molecular
biology and/or genetics are encouraged to apply. Applicants should
possess a PhD or equivalent, have a sound publication record, good
communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

The project is funded by the Medical Research Council for up to five years.

The salary will be in the range of =A317,451 - =A326,229 per annum,
