Position available
A Postdoctoral position is available immediately to study the
establishment and maintenance of epithelial cell polarity in C.
elegans, focusing in particular on the assembly of adherens junctions
and trafficking (Nature Cell Biology 2:415-422; Current Biology
10:1098-1107). The strategy will involve genetic screens and
two-hybrid screens. Funding is available for an initial period of 15
months through an EEC grant, for which French citizens are not
eligible. Beyond that period, fellowships from International or
French sources can be applied for. The IGBMC is an international
institute with strong focus on developmental biology and
transcription, where the common language is English. It offers very
convenient common facilities available to all. Illkirch is located
within a biking distance from Strasbourg in a nice area of France
near the Vosges mountains. Prior experience with genetic analysis or
with C. elegans is not a pre-requisite, but would be a bonus. Please
send your CV, a list of publications together with two reference
letters to Michel Labouesse.
