Please also send your best laser info to me (Andy Papp) at Tritech
Research. Using your laser info as a starting point, we will
investigate and see if we can design or procur a less expensive system
From what I understand, the other companies even charge a lot for the
laser trigger/controller (the thing that a foot pedal connects to, which
makes the laser pulse at a certain rate). We can definitely make an
inexpensive version of that, even if we can't find the laser and optics
at a better price. But I think we might be able to. Please also send
me any specs you have about the laser requirements (wavelength,
pulse-length, pulse power) and also as to whether or not you already
have your scope set up for epifluorescence, in which case you already
have the optical path in place.
