Hitoshi Sawa sawa at rtc.riken.go.jp
Mon May 7 09:14:29 EST 2001

Positions available

Postdoctoral positions, with funding for up to 5 years, are available
immediately in the Sawa lab at Riken, Center for Developmental Biology
(CDB), Kobe, Japan. We are studying the mechanism for cell fate decision,
focusing on asymmetric cell division regulated by lin-17/frizzled and
lin-44/wnt. A number of mutants defective in asymmetric cell division have
been identified and are in the process of being analyzed. See for example,
Genes & Development 10, 2189-2197 (1996), Cell 97, 717-726 (1998) ,
Molecular Cell 6, 617-624 (2000).

Our institute (CDB) was very recently established. One of three building
has just been opend this spring. For more information about our institute,
please see

If you have interest, please email sawa at rtc.riken.go.jp.
