Research Assistant Position, LBG, CEPH, Paris
A research assistant position is available immediately in the Laboratory
of Genomic Biology at CEPH (Human Polymorphism Study Center), a
non-profit research center in the heart of Paris. The successful
applicant will perform drug screening by using a C. elegans model of
polyglutamine neuronal toxicity. This screen is part of a coordinated
effort involving several laboratories and model systems in order to
identify potentially-interesting compounds for the cure of Huntington=92s
disease. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain
valuable training in experimental pharmacology and C. elegans
manipulation. Experience with C. elegans is desirable but is not a
necessity. Applicants must have previous laboratory experience and
strong organizational skills. The position is for 8-12 months with no
restriction on citizenship. Applicants may contact C. N=E9ri for
informal inquiries.
Please send by email a CV and the names of three references and their
