Dear C. elegans Researcher,
This is to inform you about Volume 17 of the Worm Breeder's Gazette. We
are making a few changes for this volume.
1. The number of issues will decrease from six to five.
2. The production schedule will change so that issues will be distributed
every November and April (see below). As before, each of these issues will
contain your submissions, a bibliography update, and announcements/news.
The fifth and final issue of the volume will be a genetic map; it will be
sent out in the summer of 2003.
3. We will substitute a C. elegans Researcher Directory for the old WBG
Subscriber Directory. We encourage all those interested in C. elegans
research to include themselves in this directory, whether or not they
subscribe to the WBG. It should be a useful resource, and we hope to make
it complete. There is no fee for being included. Leon Avery has set up a
section on his web site for you to add, change or remove information about
yourself in the list: http://elegans.swmed.edu/CeRD/ Everyone who is
currently listed in the WBG Subscriber Directory will automatically be
listed in the new Directory. Please take a moment to add yourself to the
Directory or to confirm your information if you are already included. All
entries added before September 1, 2001 will be removed if not confirmed by
March 1, 2002.
As before, we will offer both a hard copy and an electronic version of
Volume 17 and the C. elegans Researcher Directory. The electronic version
is free. If you would like to receive a hard copy you should indicate this
when you submit or confirm your entry in the C. elegans Researcher
Directory, and then you should send us some money to cover photocopying and
distribution. The fees for receiving a hard copy of Volume 17 are as follows:
USA/Canada $25
Europe/S. America $37
Japan/Australia/Africa $45
Purchase orders, personal and institutional checks, money orders, travelers
checks or VISA are accepted forms of payment. Funds must be in US dollars.
Checks must be drawn on a US bank and should be made payable to the
University of Minnesota. When you submit your order you can indicate if
you will be sending a check, or you can tell us your purchase order number.
No credit card information will be accepted online (the site is not
secure!); you must contact Theresa directly if you wish to pay by credit card.
